About To The Point Acupuncture Staff
Stacey A Kent
I started working in complementary medicine doing massage therapy in 2000. Since that time I added to my skill set: acupuncture, herbal medicine, kinesiotaping, and yoga & mindfulness instruction. I am interested in helping my patients heal on all levels by incorporating acupuncture, herbal therapy, movement, stress reduction, and other lifestyle adjustments. Each person has their own individual map to healing, and my goal is to help navigate that with you, empowering you to learn what helps you feel your best. I believe that we can all feel better, our bodies have an amazing resilience and desire to function well. Acupuncture, herbs and my other therapies are proven & powerful methods for promoting vibrant health and well-being.

Hello Thanks for visiting our page! Let me guess- you are searching for a solution to a problem? Maybe it’s stress, anxiety, depression, or pain? I know the list could go on. Well, like you I too went on a search a few years back. I was looking for a solution to my mounting stress level. Don’t get me wrong-some stress isn’t always a negative thing. In fact, I think a healthy amount can keep us motivated. But in my situation, I was not coping with it well. I felt sickly, unbalanced, and even guilty about it. I had heart palpitations, heart burn, digestive issues, headaches, and even experienced a panic attack. I knew I could not go on like that and in my search to feel better I finally stumbled upon acupuncture. I thought- Needles?! Maybe a reaction like your own. My interest in the mind body connection, which dates back many years and inspired me to study psychology for my undergrad, encouraged to me to pursue studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Receiving my acupuncture license was such an exciting accomplishment. Acupuncture provides an alternative in which compassion, sympathy, and care come first. I am honored and thankful to have the opportunity to help people regain their balance and wellness.

My path began as a Social Worker where I provided mental and behavioral health therapy to youth and families with the use of horses. I also worked for a few years in the substance abuse prevention field. I knew from those experiences that there had to be an alternative way to treat mental health, substance abuse; While also understanding the magnitude of our current opioid epidemic I became determined to help individuals find natural pain relief with the hope of decreasing the possibility of opioid addiction later on.
My previous work with children as well as having a son of my own and wanting the best for his well being, has instilled a newer passion to help children heal naturally whether it’s common childhood illnesses, depression, anxiety, or digestive issues. All while providing them a safe and comfortable place offering pain free modalities.
So whether you are dealing with chronic pain, fatigue, emotional distress…whatever it may be; my goal is to help you reach optimal wellness. Working with where you are and where you want to be.
I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes and inspiration for my work… “The realization that we are all basically the same human beings who seek happiness and try to avoid suffering is very helpful in developing a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood; a warm feeling of love and compassion for others.” – Dalai Lama
